$70 Million Upgrade To Highway 8 Near Kitchener, Ontario

Highway 8 near Kitchener will be getting long overdue upgrades worth about $70 million which will be funded in part by the federal and provincial governments.

Improvements to Highway 8 will include new lane additions, resurfacing, twinning of the bridge over the Grand River and the construction of bus bypass shoulders on northbound and southbound lanes near the Grand River.

The Highway 8 upgrade is part of a larger $12 billion financial stimulus project set up by the Federal governement over the next two years.
